True or Fake

Today we had to do this slide to find out if a site was true or false. Then we had to write our own fake article with a buddy. My favourite part was thinking of a idear/headline. My least favourite part was writing it.

do you think this is real or fake?

Graduation Planning!

Hope for College Graduates Stepping Into the Unknown — Larry O'Donnell

On the 12 of December 2023, we are going to have an Ahipara School year 8 graduation! I am going to cry my heart out there I don’t want to go to Kaitaia College. So we are going to choose a song and do a haka. Nobody couldn’t agree on a song, so we did a vote. We are going to do the song BIGGER! I love that song. My favourite part was watching all the year 7’s singing our songs that we were trying to choose from. My least favourite part was everybody not agreeing.

SLJ Today!

Today Whaea Donna came in for the first time this term! This year I am not doing it because I really can’t be bothered because I am getting a new horse and going on a little holiday! But to get us started to see if we wanted to do it we had to do a teaser. So I have done a Christmas one! My favourite part was it being a Christmas picture. My least favourite part was not many colours to choose from. Oh, and I also forgot to colour in his eye… but  oh well. Next time I could take my time more. But don’t worry I read books and write my journal every night as I do. Anyways…

Today we went with Mrs Myers to the school garden. We went down with Ashlyn, Karli, Me and Daya ( who was not having it ). We picked SO MANY POTATOS! We picked 2 buckets of potatoes and lots of carrots! After we got some rainbow carrots. Karli picked so many carrots and she ended up with all orange ones. Next week we get to make chips out of the potatoes that we picked today. My least favourite was having to wait to make our hot chips. My favourite part was getting out of class.

Swimming!

Taking your camera to the pool: Everything you need to know

For the past week, we have started swimming! I love swimming time. The first two days of swimming were so warm then on Monday it was FREZZING! But today it was so good it was so clear for my goggles and we found so many leftover rings in the pool. I stayed in the pool as long as possible so I had to do my writing test (I didn’t miss it). My favourite part was finding lots of goodies in the pool ( I found Fitbit). My least favourite part was getting out really early.

Minecraft

Big Red Barn w/ Detail : r/Minecraft

Today we had Whaea Te Rina because Whaea Emma is still sore from her surgery. So we had a really relaxed day today. After I had done my real speedy work we got to play MINECRAFT! I have a really cool world. A few months ago I built a HUGE barn for all my horses! I also have milking cows and a sand arena along with a jumping course, pole bending course, a race course, paddocks for sheep and lots more. Me and My sister Zara built it when we had a power cut for 8 days straight and Minecraft was the only screen time!

My favourite part was playing with Lochlan and riding all my horses and can’t forget letting my mind go wild!

My least favourite part was Lochlan spawning LOTS of animals!

Importance Of Love And Support By Family

Does your family take you every step of the way? Do they create fun and memorable memories? My family plays a big part in my life, they show up and cheer at every sports game, teach me good, useful life lessons and provide a roof over our heads. My family does so much for me and I enjoy every part of it. I am over the moon grateful for what they do for me. They really do mean a lot to me.

Families are great!  Does your family give you lots of love and support?

Now let’s jump in and I will tell you about MY family.

Do you know 20% of kids in NZ only have 1 parent? My family teaches me hundreds of life lessons. My top life lessons that my family has taught me is not to be selfish. The second life lesson that I like and my family has taught me is treat others how YOU want to be treated! My last life lesson that I like is how they teach me how to be independent. They teach me to clean ,cook or even to move the animals by myself. All these impacts me to make me an independent person. My family is very supportive of my life.

Once we accept our limits, we go beyond them. Do you know that 134,447 kids in NZ play sports? I play soccer in the U13s. My family takes out time from their day every Saturday and Wednesday for me to play my sports. I have played soccer for 4 years but have never scored a goal. But no matter what Dad always gives me tips and cheers me on from the sideline. Don’t limit your challenges, challenge your limits.

Enjoy every moment like it is a miracle. My family is amazing. My Mum and Dad work every day of the week. They work every day like worker bees. Talking about bees Dad works on the farm with our bees and also looks after his cousin who is in a wheelchair. Mum works at a Daycare. She has worked there for 16 years. Mum and Dad work very hard so when we grow up we can have great memories. They work very hard so they can produce clean water, a roof over our heads and healthy nutritious food!

My family means the whole world to me. People need to appreciate life more and enjoy family more while we have them. Do you love your family? Keep going in life. Family is where life begins and life never ends!
